My mind and writing

I just wanted to check in on the official site and apologize for the lack of new stories out in the ‘real world.’ I have been writing a lot of chapters: interactive stories community stories. It’s a visual story game app that adapts published works into games but they’ve also started writing original stories and allowing users to contribute. I am trying hard to wrap up a lot of ongoing stories over there that readers have asked me to update. I also wanted to let anyone know that is patiently waiting for more in the Genevieve Storm series why some books might take longer than others. Aside from the fact I am self published and pay for all my resources and editing. I have ADHD. Diagnosed officially. So I do get distracted easily, and sometimes have a hard time finishing ‘tasks.’ I also had learning disabilities in school and not sure if that contributes to my procrastination or focus. But it might. I don’t write down my story plotting because it’s easily forgotten or out of sight out of mind. I do forget a lot of things but the way my plotting is most affective is if I have it all in my head first. I might write down specific things that come to mind if I am worry about forgetting those things. But I typically remember exactly how I organized everything in my thinking process. I usually have the ending first planned out. As far as the beginning goes I just start writing whatever comes to my mind as far as these characters introduction and then fill in the middle that way too. So yes my books are literally me typing out an scene or plot that pops into my head at that very moment until I get to the end I planned while making edits as I go. I don’t do drafts. I have one ‘draft’ that I edit and rewrite until it’s the final book. Then I send it to an actual editor to check grammar etc. And then I upload it to amazon under their self publishing. And voila it’s online for you all. It seems my ADHD and issue of starting other projects while in the middle of one has affected ‘Maynard.’ I am now writing a Fae book at the same time. I hope to finish both also at the same time. And publish them together. No the Fae book is separate and a different universe. Anyways I got a lot of stuff I need to finish and wrap up. And just wanted to let people know who were waiting for ‘Maynard’ to be done. I promise I’ll figure it out.

Updates

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated this site. I meant to really get it going. But I’ve been quite busy. The second book Symbolism of love has been out since February 13, 2022. I started the third book “Maynard” shortly after. But it’s been taking a bit longer to write this one. But I’m getting there. Hopefully this one will be published sometime in the new year. Or hopefully even sooner. I’d like to thank everyone whose read it and enjoyed it. I have many ideas floating around my head concerning Genevieve Storm. But I also have other ideas that I’d like to write.

And one book I am finished writing but am too afraid to publish. It might take a lot of elements from my life that people around me would know what it’s based off of. And it’s nothing bad. Just a little nervous about their reaction to certain things vaguely being mentioned even if fictionalized. I wrote into it an apartment I used to visit as a child which was owned my my grandfather at one point. That is now no longer there. Sold and torn down. But somehow it felt strange putting that into this book. It’s called “Letters” maybe I’ll get it edited and then get the courage to publish it. I sent it to my mom to read to tell me what she thought before I published it but she hasn’t read it yet. And I’m too scared for her to read it in publish form for some reason.

Hopefully I’ll get over it. I am currently writing a ghost/murder mystery/horror thing called the Dusty Bookstore that might end up a shorter novel. I know how it’s going to end. But after I finish the Dusty bookstore and Maynard. I will be taking a break from Genevieve for a second to write another fantasy idea I have in my head. It might be a standalone. Or it might be a series. We’ll see where it takes me when I start. If you want to find anything else of mine in the meantime I have two poetry books published through outskirtspress. Which you can find on Amazon. I just wanted to come on the site and check in.

“3 Months Later”

The first novel of “The Genevieve Storm Series” is officially out now. You can find it on goodreads for review, and as a paperback on Amazon. I am working on possibly getting an audible version out at some point. And I am passionately writing it’s sequel.
